  • RISDnow is a mock-up application designed for RISD students, particularly incoming ones, to familiarize themselves with the RISD campus and community. The app features a personal location tracker and functions as a social media platform exclusive to RISD students. Aligned with RISD’s new identity, we utilized a slightly adjusted shade of RISD’s official color to enhance visual comfort for users and a typeface for its simplicity and readability, opting for an alternative to Helvetica.

    The app includes three key features:

    • Reflection Page: Users can create posts reflecting their location and mood status.

    • Campus Map: Provides insight into the locations and events of RISD students.

    • Private Location Tracker: Displays unique shapes relevant to the user's location.

  • KH Beauty is the U.S. branch for exclusive Korean skincare brands, offering products sourced directly from South Korea. I developed a bilingual, user-friendly ecommerce site that highlights KH Beauty’s products while integrating Klar View Skincare’s services. As sister companies, KH Beauty provides premium products, while Klar View Skincare focuses on specialized skincare services. The design seamlessly balances product accessibility with an intuitive, visually engaging experience for U.S. customers.

Bouba Kiki

  • The bouba/kiki effect is a non-arbitrary mapping between speech sounds and the visual shape of objects. Using javascript to create an interactive piece, I emphasized this psychological phenomenon in which the words “bouba” are associated with round shapes and “kiki” with jagged shapes.

  • RISCO Construction, LLC is a dynamic construction firm specializing in restaurant and commercial projects, with a diverse portfolio spanning from Korean steakhouses to modern cosmetic stores. I modernized their website to better showcase their extensive client list and completed projects, enhancing the homepage with a clean, engaging layout and bilingual functionality to appeal to both English and Korean-speaking audiences. By highlighting key clients and projects, the site reflects RISCO’s craftsmanship and versatility in the construction industry, offering potential clients an intuitive and visually compelling experience.
